Trial running of the GTM’s 1966 Bristol Lodekka which is to be used for a package tour from the new cruise harbour to the museum and Craigievar castle (NTS). The trials were basically driver training to confirm a number of PSV license holders who can handle the 5 speed manual gearbox that has no synchromesh! The Bristol was the last vehicle built by Bristol designed to run with a conductor and loaded from the rear. The tour will be known as the Craigievar Express after the museum’s famous steam tricycle of that name and the bus will carry a special livery accordingly.
