With a recently refurbished tea room, specially constructed reception and shop plus hundreds of transport artefacts of all kinds, we are the perfect place for group visits. We offer a variety of visitor services at the museum, including talks and guided tours for all ages, arranged evening visits, the option of hiring the meetings room for private functions and much more. We are also travel trade friendly and keen to provide a really top-notch experience.

There are always fun quizzes and trails for younger visitors to enjoy inside the museum. Outside, the front lawn - complete with distinctive blue phone box and Birkhall Steam Engine - is a great place to enjoy a picnic while the kids let off steam in our playpark.
Don't forget there is also the popular 'Junior Driving School' for youngsters aged 4 - 10 years.

Access to the museum is on ground level and the majority of the exhibition is accessible to wheelchair users. There is limited access to the gallery display area due to stairs. The Collections Centre is fully wheelchair accessible.
Museum parking is extensive and free with several dedicated disabled spots. The car park also has several large spaces suitable for bus and coach parking.
The doors within the museum are fully accessible to wheelchairs. There is also a wheelchair available at reception for visitor use.
There are male, female and accessible toilets within the museum. There is also a baby changing facility available.
